Picture Day & Liam’s Twin

Today & tomorrow are picture days at Zachary & Liam’s school. They are doing the younger classes today and the older classes tomorrow. In addition, class photos are tomorrow and sibling photos are today. I asked if they would be doing sibling photos even with a sibling in the infant room, and they said yes, and even though Zachary’s class is not actually scheduled till tomorrow, we put a nice shirt on him today for the sibling photo – plus they told us that they would go ahead and do Zachary by himself today while they had him. So Josh was dropping them off this morning, and he said that they got back to Zachary’s class, and Zachary saw his teacher Miss Katie and ran inside to her. He was so excited and said, “Miss Katie!!! Guess what?!?! It’s picture…” WHOOPS! At that moment he apparently tripped on a rug and fell on his face. This is classic Zachary. Over a year ago the school banned Crocs because apparently too many kids were falling down, and they blamed it on the Crocs (why do people have to be hatin’ on Crocs all the time???). Well, I’ve got news for them – Zachary is going to fall down no matter what kind of shoes he’s wearing. Anyway, so we will see how the pictures turn out. Hopefully Zachary won’t have a black eye or something by the time they get around to him.

Over the weekend we caught a free preview of HBO. We don’t pay for any of those premium channels (we’ve got enough TV that we watch – don’t need to pay for extra stuff we would never get around to). But we do love the free preview weekend because we can load up the TiVo with movies we never got around to seeing in the theater. As we were going through the HBO channels looking for stuff to record last week, we discovered they have a cartoon of “Harold & the Purple Crayon”. We recorded a couple of episodes because it’s a cute book that we like to read, and we thought Zachary might enjoy the show. As we were watching it yesterday for the first time, I realized that Harold bears a striking resemblance to Liam! It’s uncanny. The only difference is that Harold walks around and is significantly more coordinated with a crayon than I imagine Liam would be (I’m quite certain Liam would eat the purple crayon…). But they could be twins – if Harold wasn’t a cartoon…

You'll have to scan and post the pictures from school so that we can see!
