Halloween Festivities

This weekend was full of fun Halloween festivities.  It started Saturday morning when we went to the Halloween party put on by Zachary's karate school.  We didn't stay too long because Liam wasn't really into it.  And because the boys were hardly in the same place at the same time, I didn't even get any pictures.  Sad.

Sunday morning we finally carved our pumpkin.  It was the biggest pumpkin we had ever bought, but we chose it because it had the most amazing stem.  Silly, right?  But really was amazing.  It always baffles me that the boys have NO interest in cleaning out the pumpkin guts.  They love getting dirty but yet they are completely disgusted by pumpkin guts.  It's so weird.  They did each take a quick turn scooping before Josh got to carving.

Since Zachary is still missing so many teeth (4, to be exact), and I have joked about calling him "Jack" (as in jack-o-lantern), he got with the spirit and decided that we should carve the pumpkin's mouth to look like his.  So we did our best.  After he was all carved up, we had to take some pictures with it.

Later that day, we headed into Midtown for an early dinner at Mary Mac's followed by the Yo Gabba Gabba Live show.  We went last year, and the boys enjoyed it.  But what a difference a year makes - Zachary spent the entire first half moping about having to be there.  He warmed up to it in the 2nd half, but he really wasn't all that into it.  Liam had a good time though.
