Well it's been a bit longer than I had hoped, but after my last post, we were busy packing for our beach trip. We left on Saturday, June 25 & came back this past Saturday. This was our 5th year going to Fripp Island, SC. This was also the first year we have been able to get cell phone reception (thanks to the AT&T - T-Mobile thing). There is a wi-fi signal we can pick up in certain areas of the condo, but it's so weak that it's hardly worth trying to do anything. Hence, no blog post all week.
Anyway, so now I'm back. The beach was wonderful, as usual. It's always a big family thing - the four of us, my mom, Josh's parents, and our nephew Jacob (who is 3 weeks older than Zachary). And this year we were also joined by Josh's brother Ryan. The 3 boys had a great time playing together - in the condo, on the beach, in the ocean, and in the pool. The only non-beach thing we did was head off of Fripp to neighboring Hunting Island one day to see the lighthouse. Liam wasn't tall enough to climb to the top, so he stayed at the bottom with the 2 grandmothers, while Josh, Ryan, & I climbed up with Zachary & Jacob. Other than that, it was a fun week without really any set schedules or deadlines, and we had great weather to boot!
