More elf fun to start your day. I had to take Liam to the doctor yesterday for his ear re-check from his ear infection a few weeks ago (that last one was the 2nd one in a row that he had had). He still has fluid in there, so we are on our 3rd round of antibiotics. Fun! This time the doctor gave us what he called “the good stuff.” Although he did warn me of a potential nasty side effect…let’s just say we may be going through a lot of diapers over the next 10 days…I hope it clears up this time. He had the first ear infection about 6 weeks ago and we just haven’t been able to get rid of it. Thankfully they are not talking tubes yet or anything, but I just feel bad for him – I know it’s no fun for him. He has been sleeping much better since we’ve been back at home though, and he has a good attitude during the day so you would not necessarily know he isn’t feeling good if it weren’t for him tugging on his ears occasionally.
The timing of our trip put us a little behind on Christmas stuff. Normally by now we would have had everything decorated for over a week, we would have seen Santa already, and we would have ordered our Christmas cards over a week ago. Well, we got the cards ordered last night. Check! Decorating is coming along. The main tree is up & decorated and the 2nd tree (our UGA tree) is up but not decorated. We had to wait on the tree because we do a real tree (no fake stuff for us – only a real tree will do!) and it didn’t make sense to put up a real tree and then go on vacation for a week with nobody to water it. We have hit a wall on the outside lights though. Josh had some time on Sunday to work on it but half of our strands were dead, and by the time he was able to go get more, it was dark. He is working from home today and would have some time, but it’s raining – probably not the best idea to be working with lights in the rain. We will get there though – it may be Christmas Eve before that happens, but we will get it all done!
