Anyway, word to moms of small children (or soon-to-be small children) - if you have something like this that your child begins to get attached to, or you think they may get attached to it, run out & buy a 2nd (maybe even a 3rd) one. We discovered that with Zachary - we only had one, and after a while we decided a 2nd one would come in handy. So we started off with 2 for Liam. Zachary still loves his Froggie, but thankfully, Froggie pretty much stays in the bed at this point. But Liam likes to take Monkey everywhere - and I mean, EVERYWHERE. I went into his room this morning, and he was whining, "Monkeyyyyyy! Monkeyyyyyyyyy!" Turns out, Monkey was nowhere to be found in the crib. I searched & searched, and ended up finding him on the floor between the crib & the wall. Whew! Then he wanted to take Monkey in the car to go to school, but Josh managed to get it out of Liam's hands & left it on the kitchen table. They got to school, he got them signed in, & as they walked inside, he noticed that Liam had Monkey in his hands! What the...? Turns out, someone had left another Monkey in their car seat (which they keep in the front entrance to the school). Liam saw it & assumed it was his. Imagine the trauma when Josh had to take Monkey away for the 2nd time in about 10 minutes. But then this afternoon there was a happy reunion between Liam & Monkey when we got home. He sure does love his Monkey. And I'm sure glad we have a 2nd one hiding in the drawer in case we ever need it.
We also had a couple of funny things from the daily sheets today. Apparently Liam got bitten on Friday - we just found out today though, because the Incident Report was not in his folder on Friday. The situation was described that Liam & a friend were doing art, and the friend got very excited & bit Liam on the cheek. It made me wonder if it was meant to be a kiss? But it's hard to imagine getting so excited about something that you bite. I'm just glad that neither of our kids has ever been the biter. They sure have been snacked on a lot, but they've never bitten back. And Zachary's sheet today said that he ate 125% of his lunch. We tried to find out what that meant (did he eat all of his lunch & then some?) but when we asked him, I think he thought he was in trouble - he kept insisting he didn't eat anyone else's lunch. That reminded us of the time at his old daycare when they tod us one day that he had eaten 10 pancakes for breakfast (he was just a little over a year old at the time). We were shocked that they would let anyone, let alone a 1-year-old, eat that many pancakes. They assured us that they were silver-dollar sized, but 10 still seemed like a lot.

Caleb has that monkey! He isn't too into it though. We will hang on to it and if Liam ever can't find his first OR second monkey...give me a call and it is yours! ;)
I think Sprout needs a Froggie... must find... :)
Thanks Tami - we'll let you know!
And Meredith - maybe Sprout doesn't need a Froggie until he/she is born...just saying.... :)
