But Saturday, the whirlwind began. Not long ago Josh's grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. She lives in Florida but decided to have her treatment in Pennsylvania, where a lot of her family lives. We decided we wanted to go up & see her while she was up there. So we got up at 6am on Saturday to head to the airport to fly to Philadelphia for a quick visit. Even though it was early the boys were very excited about getting to see MomMom & PopPop, as well as Grand MomMom, Uncle Ryan, and most importantly, their cousin Jacob. We get to see Jacob for about 1 week a year at the beach, but whenever he & Zachary are together it is like they are best friends who hang out every day, & they pick up right where they left off without missing a beat. Saturday we just hung out at Josh's parents house. The boys played. Zachary spent the first half hour or so running screaming from Jacob's little pug Gibbs (which is totally weird, since we have a dog - a BIG one - that weighs about 90 lbs). He did eventually get over this & by the time we left today he was Gibbs' little buddy.
This picture was from Saturday evening - 4 generations of Cahills.

On Sunday morning, the boys wanted PopPop to take them to the pond (lake?) across the street to go fishing. Apparently there are fish in there, although they did not catch anything. But it was something fun & different to do & after a while we were all out there watching & playing.

These pink trees were all over the area by the pond (lake?). I have no idea what they are but I thought they were soooo pretty!

On Sunday evening we headed over to Josh's Aunt Jan's house for a cookout. It was fun, and there were more dogs. Aunt Jan has 2 golden retrievers, and the boys even spotted a "wolf" next door. I think it was actually a huskie or something along those lines, but it did sort of look like a wolf. We also got to watch the last round of the Masters & see Phil win, which was so fun!
Here is Grand MomMom with her 3 great-grandsons
Josh & me with his MomMom (she is MomMom to her grandkids, but we promoted her to Grand MomMom when our kids were born since Josh's mom is also a MomMom)
Josh's parents with his MomMom (Josh's dad's mom)

All in all it was a fast, but great weekend. Josh's grandmother still has a ways to go with her treatment, but I know she's a strong lady. We will be praying for everything to go well for her!
And just because...I wanted to end with this picture. I had so much fun taking close-ups of those pretty pink trees across the street from Josh's parents' house. I just LOVE the way this one turned out. And I took it using ALL manual settings!! Yay me!
