Bits & Pieces of Our Week

We haven't had any major events or activities over the past week, but here are a few little things.

August 3 - Zachary lost another tooth!  This was his 4th one overall, but the 1st one on the top.  He still has a "hole" on the bottom from where the last one fell out in February & the new tooth still hasn't come in yet (the dentist assured us from his recent x-rays that the tooth is in there - just taking its time coming in).  I joked that we should start calling him "Jack" (as in "jack-o-lantern") - he didn't find that funny at all.

August 5 - the boys had their final swimming lesson of the session.  This was Liam's 3rd session at  Swim Atlanta, and I couldn't believe how far he's come in just 15 lessons!  He's not quite 3 & 1/2 yet!

August 6 - we took the boys to the Home Depot monthly kids workshop.  They hadn't been in a while, and they enjoy it (plus it was a good ativity that Josh could do with them since he was about to head out of town for work for a week).  They made pencil boxes & got a fun back-to-school goodie bag too.

On Sunday, Josh left for upstate NY.  His company has a training campus up there, and he was selected to attend a class this week.  So it's just been the boys & me for the last couple of days (he comes back on Friday).  I took vacation yesterday, today, and tomorrow since there's no camp at Liam's school (they start back on Thursday).  So we've been hanging out & having fun.  Yesterday we went & had lunch with my mom, and then we picked Zachary up & all went to the pool.  Today we ran a few errands, and then headed into Buckhead for a work lunch at Nancy's Pizza.  My former boss just got a great new opportunity within the company, but it means he had to leave our group.  So this was his goodbye lunch, and I got the OK to bring Liam.  After lunch we picked Zachary up, and ended up just playing in the back yard.

Tomorrow is my last day home with Liam (and the end of his 2 & 1/2 week summer vacation - I pity his teachers on Thursday, after having spent 2 solid weeks with grandparents, then the 3 days with me before starting back.  To quote Drena, he's going to have a major case of grandparent hangover).  We're going to try to make the most of it, because Thursay & Friday are it before all the craziness of school starts for Zachary.  More to come on tomorrow's activities in another post!

I feel like we are constantly at war with grandparent hangover!

Sounds like a fun few days!
