Happy 6th Birthday Liam

I'm a couple of days behind, but Saturday was Liam's 6th birthday.  We had already had his party the week before, and with the snow mid-week, it kind of snuck up on us.  Luckily we already had his present!  He woke up in the morning and the first thing he did was the balloon pop!  We had tied 6 balloons to the ceiling fan, each with $1 inside.  He had to pop them all to get the money.

We had planned to take his presents over to my mom's house later, so he could open them at his birthday dinner, but he was dying to open them in the morning, so we let him.  We got him a 3DS and he was so excited!

That afternoon we headed out to see the Lego Movie.  It was so funny - we all loved it!  The kids have been quoting it non-stop ever since.  That's not getting old at all...

Then we went to my mom's house for Liam's birthday dinner.  He had requested Dorito chicken, green beans, and hummingbird cake.  Solid menu.  He then blew out the candles for the 2nd time, and opened a couple more presents.  My mom had gotten him a bean bag chair and a rainbow loom.  Let's just say that both boys were equally excited about both of these presents!  Good thing Zachary is getting his own bean bag chair for his birthday!  Shhhhhhh!  He has also now said that he'd like his own rainbow loom so he & Liam don't have to share.

It is still hard for me to believe that our "Little Liam" is six.  It feels like Zachary was just six.  It's weird.  He challenges us sometimes, but I think that's what keeps us on our toes, and causes us to think creatively sometimes.  I definitely wouldn't trade him - he can be a stinker, but he also still likes to be snuggly and cuddly sometimes (and I think the stinker times are worth it when we get to the snuggly times!)
