Saturday we packed up the car and headed to Athens for the first Georgia game of the season. GO DAWGS! The boys seemed excited, but then we were lucky to make it to halftime. We were only 2 & 1/2 minutes into the first quarter when Liam said, "Mommy, I'm ready to go." I had a hard time paying attention to the game, because Liam kept climbing in my lap the whole time, and Zachary kept complaining that he was hot - you'd have thought we left him in the middle of the desert. The weather was amazing, so I'm not really sure if he was actually hot, or just using that as his excuse because he wanted to go. We stayed long enough to watch the band at halftime, but then we had to get out of there - the boys were both on the verge of meltdowns. We're hoping that the next game in 2 weeks goes a little better.
Sunday was pretty low key - church in the morning, haircut for Zachary while Liam napped, and then we froze our hineys off at the pool. The recent cool nights has made our pool ice cold! For dinner we made a favorite - chicken parm pizza!
Today we made the most of our bonus day off. We met our friends the Haucks this morning at our neighborhood playground for a little playdate. Their son Cameron is one of Zachary's best buddies. They go to the same school but are in different kindergarten classes. They do get to see each other at school sometimes though (PE, recess, etc.) And their daughter Addison is a few months younger than Liam, and they haven't gotten to see each other since Liam started going to his new school. We had a fun time with them. After Liam woke up from his nap we suited back up for more frosty pool time. Even though it was cold, we had a fun time. One of Zachary's classmates was there, as was one of Liam's little friends from his old school, one of Zachary's karate friends, and a family from down the street. We had fun hanging out at the pool with our fun neighbors today. After dinner we took a trip to Menchie's. There is a new ice cream shop open down the road, but the boys just LOVE Menchie's. Maybe next time we can try the ice cream store.
One other cute thing from the weekend. When I picked Zachary up on Friday, he informed me that he had left his lunchbox in his classroom (not so cute...his containers are going to be NASTY by the time we get them home tomorrow). But...he did have something else - a little briefcase thing with a bear in it. Clue Bear, to be exact. I think Clue Bear is sort of like the class pet - he's this old, ratty, teddy bear (that his teacher has probably had as long as she has been teaching). Anyway, Zachary got to bring Clue Bear home this weekend. Inside Clue Bear's bag was a note explaining that we were to write about all the adventures Clue Bear had while home with the child. Needless to say, Zachary got a great weekend to bring Clue Bear home - he had a lot of fun things to share when we wrote his story tonight.

Um, YUM! Can you please send me the recipe for that Chicken Parm Pizza??
I'm impressed your boys made it that long! Marc took Kathryn and Matthew to the Tech game and they didn't last much past half-time and had about a million and one trips to the bathroom and to get food!
