Zachary & CC

For the 2nd time this school year, Zachary has brought home a class “pet”, of sorts. Neither one has been an actual living animal (thank goodness). The first one was Clue Bear – described at the end of this post. When Clue Bear came home, I thought he had seen better days. Little did I know that there was yet another class “pet”. This time it was the school mascot, CC the Colt (they are the Crabapple Crossing Colts…). CC definitely looked like he had been through the ringer – he was missing an arm! Well, not really missing – the arm was in the bag that everything came home in…it was just detached from his body. Sad… Anyway, so CC came home with Zachary last Monday, and we got to keep him all week! The first thing CC did was come to watch Zachary play baseball that afternoon. That was the day Zachary won the game ball – CC must be good luck!

On Thursday, CC got to meet PopPop – Josh’s dad arrived for the weekend to watch some of Zachary’s baseball games (there were 3 scheduled for while he was here). On Friday, CC went with Zachary to karate, and then came along to his baseball game afterwards too. Zachary didn’t win the game ball, but CC still had fun. Unfortunately, all the rest of the baseball games over the weekend got rained out. But CC got to go see more karate on Saturday, and enjoyed getting to ride around in the car.

We had a fun week with CC, and enjoyed writing about all of our adventures with him last week. Zachary was one of the last kids in his class to bring CC home – I’m hoping that his teacher will make copies of all of the stories for everyone. It would be fun to read about all the fun things that CC (and Clue Bear) got to do with all of the kids!
