Two weekends ago we had the TN-FL game on (yes, we did need some decontamination afterwards). The TN band started playing a song that was NOT Rocky Top – gasp! The announcer goes, “Hey, that’s the other song they know!” This is funny because anyone who has ever been to a game where TN was one of the teams knows that they play Rocky Top incessantly – it borders on torture. So Josh & I were laughing at the fact that even the announcer was making fun of them, and Zachary asked what was so funny. We explained to him that it was funny because the announcer guy was making fun of the TN band for only knowing 2 songs. So then fast forward to this past weekend, my mom was home watching Zachary & Liam, while Josh & I went to the Blackout. She had the TN-Auburn game on. When the game got to halftime, Zachary told my mom, “At halftime the Redcoat Band will come out on the field to entertain us!” She told him that the Redcoats wouldn’t be at that game, since they are Georgia’s band, but that the Tennessee band would probably come out to entertain the crowd. Zachary – in all seriousness – tells her, “But the Tennessee band only knows 2 songs…” Like, how can they possibly entertain with only 2 songs?!? That kid remembers EVERYTHING he ever hears. We really have to be careful what we say around him.
We have a fun weekend ahead. Josh & I are taking tomorrow off, and we’re taking the guys to the Georgia Aquarium. We haven’t been since Zachary was about 16 months old, so we figured it was a good time to go back (plus, I got some mega discounted tickets through work…). On Saturday we’re going to Burt’s Farm. It’s this place you probably never heard of till you have kids – then you HAVE to make an annual trip up there sometime in the fall. They have a kooky hayride (complete with talking pumpkin people…) and more pumpkins than you ever saw anywhere else. It’s a lot of fun, and we get to pick out pumpkins for the yard. Last year we decided to get a giant pumpkin. So we picked one out, and it made it all the way home. Josh unloaded it and put it on the front porch. Later, he went out to mow the grass, and had to move it for some reason, and, well…poor pumpkin…he busted right open. Sad…Hopefully this year we can try the big pumpkin thing again and it will survive more than 5 hours. It is a great place to get fall pictures of the kiddos too, for those of you with photography skills. The pumpkins make for a fun backdrop that you could never re-create at home. Sunday is my family birthday dinner at my mom’s house – my favorite dinner of the year!

I love Burt's!! It is near my mom...the pumpkins are a great backdrop but I haven't had any little ones to take pictures of there...maybe if they take Ariyana I will have to go up there with them!
