As you can see, Santa came, and was very good to the boys. We were pretty sure that Liam would be happy with his gifts, as Santa brought him everything he asked for. But we weren't sure how Zachary would react, since he wasn't really getting much of anything he asked for (thanks to his crazy wish list). But to our surprise, they were both thrilled with their gifts, and there was no whining or complaining about not getting this or that. Liam was over the moon about his yo-yos (even though he really has no idea what to do with them), and he has also been dying to mop the floor with his new mop. Zachary was so excited about his new Matt Ryan Falcons jersey, and he & I have been putting various Lego sets together pretty much non-stop since Sunday.
(note: this is what happens when you turn a 3.5 year old loose with what you think is simply a tube of chap stick, but actually turns out to be tinted lip balm)
They had a fun time opening all their presents. Later in the day my family (aunts, uncles, cousins, & grandfather) came over for Christmas part 2. Josh's parents arrived last night, and this morning we had Christmas part 3, as we opened the presents they brought with them from Josh's family in PA. The boys were obviously excited for more presents! Now if only we could convince them that they don't need any more toys...
It has been a fun Christmas week so far. Josh & I are off all the rest of this week, and we're going to enjoy every minute of it. It is not often that we get to be just lazy in the morning, and stay in our pajamas for half the day, or all day...it's been a nice time for our busy family to slow down a bit & appreciate each other & what we have.
We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!
