Evening at Cagle's Farm

On Friday, we headed over to Cagle's Farm for some of our favorite fun fall activities.  We started with the Corn Maze, because we really didn't want to attempt to do that with the boys after it got dark.  We made it through the first one pretty quickly, but then we ended up going in a big circle in the 2nd one, so we decided to give up.

After the maze, we let the boys jump on the pillow for a few minutes, while we waited for it to get a little bit darker.  Once we felt it was dark enough, we headed over to the hayride.

The hayride goes out to a big field where they have all these different bonfires lit.  They are surrounded by concrete walls, so they are relatively safe...Each person gets a bag with 4 marshmallows to roast.  We were sneaky this year though - we snuck in graham crackers & chocolate so we could make s'mores!  Luckily no one else joined us at our fire, and since it was dark by that point, we were able to sneak our s'mores pretty easily.  The kids loved it.  It was so much fun!  After we finished them, we just sat & watched the fire for a little bit before heading back to the farm.

It was so much fun, and I'm glad this has become another fall tradition for us!

Oh - and in case you were wondering about Zachary's pants...his teacher set up some different rewards for the class for hitting certain thresholds with their Boosterthon fun run fundraising.  By Thursday of last week they had already reached the first 3 levels, so she combined them all into one: hat day, jersey day, and silly sock day.  I found a pack of 2 pairs of Angry Birds socks, so he wore one of each (because what is sillier than wearing Angry Birds socks?  Wearing 2 DIFFERENT Angry Birds socks!)  I had rolled his pants up in the morning for a picture, and apparently he kept them that way all day.  :)
