The Great Road Trip of 2013 - part 1

We just got back from our big road trip of the year.  Sure, we've been to Chattanooga a couple of times, as well as our trip to the beach in SC, but this was the BIG one.  The road trip to Pennsylvania, in all its 14 hour glory.  If you know me, you know that 8 hours is typically about my limit in the car.  However, you can't get inexpensive airfare anymore, and it's just too expensive to fly all four of us.  So we hit the road, and gave my new car its first real test.

We left last Wednesday, but couldn't leave as early as we wanted, due to Liam and me having dentist appointments.  They were early though, and we were on the road shortly after 9:30am.  We were making good time, so we stopped for dinner at a Cracker Barrel somewhere in Virginia, which was mistake #1.  Then, against our better judgement, we trusted Google, and got on 95, which was mistake #2.  We didn't arrive at Josh's parents' house until after 11:30pm.  Thankfully the boys travel in the car really well, and we had stopped at one point and had them put on their pajamas.  They were asleep when we arrived, so it was a pretty seamless transition from the car to the house.
