I don't know...ask me again in a month when they come back out to install it. I had called DirecTV back on August 5 to upgrade our service to HD. I clearly told the woman that I wanted to upgrade to HD and get the HD-DVR box (we already had regular DirecTV service with DVR - just wanted to make it HD). She even had my account open, so she knew we did not already have HD. The first available installation time was yesterday - August 31. Bummer. But we waited patiently because we knew the time would come. I had a bad feeling about it in the morning - like, we'd waited so long and it was too good to be true. But the technician showed up during our window so we felt good...until he got in and realized that we had an older dish that wouldn't support the HD signal. All he had been told to bring out was the HD-DVR receiver - no dish. BOOOOOOOO!!!! He went ahead and installed the new receiver box since he had it and since he was here, but we will not actually get the HD dish now until September 25! Can you believe it? Josh spent 3 hours on the phone with DirecTV and various other companies trying to get this moved earlier, because we have already waited almost a month since we first called, then DirecTV screwed up, and now we're basically being punished for their mistake by having to wait another 25 days. They had also already billed us for the HD installation (and we had paid it already), so they agreed to take it off until they actually come out to install it, AND, they are supposedly going to give us 6 months of free HD access (amounts to $9.99/month), which is nice. But it would have been nicer to actually get our HD installed yesterday like they said it would be. One guy Josh talked to actually said they couldn't do it earlier because of weather patterns in the Gulf. HUH??? I do feel bad for them, but seriously - we live in Atlanta, and are hardly ever REALLY impacted by weather in the Gulf. So that was lame. Josh heard a bunch of lame excuses, and no real action. It was disappointing too, because in the past whenever we've had a problem with DirecTV, they have always resolved it for us without a lot of hassle. But even after 3 hours on the phone they couldn't remedy this. BOOOOOOO!!! (again).
But we did have a good time at the UGA game (despite the HEAT). It was fun being there for the introduction of Uga VII - like a moment in history. And we won (which we knew we would, but sometimes those can be the scariest games).
Today we went to Chick-fil-A for the chicken strip promotion. Josh, Zachary, & I all had on UGA shirts so we could get the free strips. I didn't bother putting a UGA shirt on Liam (he had pooped all over his UGA shirts anyway, and they were still in the wash). It really didn't matter because it wasn't like we were going to ask for free chicken strips for him anyway. So we got there, and after we ate, Zachary wanted to play on the playground. Josh was out with him for a little bit, then we swapped. While I was in keeping an eye on Zachary, Josh was sitting inside the restaurant with Liam. Apparently a family walked in and the mom saw Josh & Liam sitting there, and she leaned over and said, "Where's her dress?" Josh was like, "Ummm...he's a boy..." Seriously people - we know he doesn't have much hair. No need to rub it in. But before that, while we were still eating, at one point Josh kind of went "heh heh..." I must have looked confused because he then went on to explain that there was a kid on the playground (which was behind me) wearing a Florida shirt, and he had on jean shorts! Ha ha! It was too perfect. And people wonder where the saying "Gators wear jean shorts" comes from!

I'm surprised they didn't tell you that ya'll had too many trees or something stupid! I'm sorry you had problems... (that's one reason we switched to Comcast)
Directv service is awful lately. We keep having the picture go out and searching for signal randomly come on the tv and they will only come out if the signal is currently out - and then it is still two weeks out! Oh, and we have the whatever service insurance that they are suppose to come out if their is a problem. We are planning on switching as soon as possible to cable. Only problem is that is next November because they added a year to our contract when we upgraded to HD last December.
